A Day in the Heart

“Poppsi”, it’s what I call my uncle, passed away Friday evening… thank you for all your prayers.

For the past two weeks, my uncle was confined at the Philippine Heart Center due to his health condition that, for me, up to now is still a mess in my head, since I’m more concerned about his recovery rather than what really happened, I never asked questions of what really went wrong, ideas were given but the truth is still what I haven’t got for myself.

I went there yesterday because he was in the state of comatose, making me feel scared like I felt when my grandfather was in the hospital a few years back. Before we left, we had some good news from the doctors about his condition, after him actually opening his eye’s and wanting to talk is something to held on to, and the doctor’s positive comments on how he responds to treatment is a big boost.

But today, I received a call saying that my uncle suffered from multiple organ failure (or in medical terms multiple organ dysfunction syndrome).

My uncle is a fighter, and I know he’s fighting his way out of this, and all I can do is to stay positive and pray to God for his recovery.

I ask you guys to also pray for my uncle, for his recovery.

Thanks.
