When I was in emelentary and early high school, I was into filipino comic books, mainly Funny Komiks’ Combatron, Istarkid and Bata-Batuta’s Cosmic Quest and Cyber Weapon: X Matrix. But it was a tie between Combatron, Cosmic Quest and X Matrix that got me into creating my comic books back then.

As a fan, I did try and draw the characters of those comic books, I have tons of and they are still with me. In my deviantART, I uploaded my drawing of Biocyber X, not the one shown in the comic books (it was the upgraded version of X Matirx, I never really had the chance to follow the storyline because I never had the chance to read the story of X Matrix, I only had one copy of that story and the rest revolves in Biocyber X) but a “poster art” of a new Biocyber X prototype.

After years of it hanging around on my dA page, I never really thought of it being seen by the creator of the story: Joseph Caesar Sto. Domingo, and I was surprised when he did visit my dA page, and posted a comment on my drawing!

I felt like a child after reading the comment, I even asked for a signature on my drawing! Hahahaha how could that happen since it is seen on the Internet, not the original drawing itself…

But still it did gave me a smile knowing that the artist himself liked what I did with his creation!
